What Is A Relationship? - Part 5 (Our Relationship With God Serves As The Foundation For All Other Relationships)

As Christians, we learn to treat others with respect because God treats us with dignity & we want others to treat us with this same consideration (Matthew 7:9-12).

As Christians, we learn to forgive others because God forgives us. Our forgiveness from God & an answer to our prayers are conditioned upon our ability to forgive like we have been forgiven (Mark 11:25-26).

As Christians, we are the fragrance of Christ to both God & man (2 Corinthians 2:15-16). The fragrance we send forth is nothing more than our new & improved personality in the Beloved. By this relationship, which sends forth an aroma, reactions to it can & will be either favorable or unfavorable. Our psyche smells horrific to the wicked & the enemies of God - thus, leading them to death. However, our disposition smells sweet to the righteous & the friends of God - thus, leading them to life. Therefore, relationships are formed as a result of us choosing a right relationship with God.
