2014 July "Listen To Your Bible" Radio Program Status Report

I like using the first Sunday of the month to give an update regarding the radio program.  As you know, the Lord blessed us to start this radio program on April 18th.  We all had expectations as to what we would like the results to be & so far, there has been no disappointment.

Since April 18th, we have recorded 10 live programs, every Friday @ 7pm.  We did not have a program on June 20th due to our VBS with Joshua Creel.  We set an aggressive, yet reasonable goal to answer 10 questions per program.  We are currently averaging 7-8 questions per program.  To date, we have answered a total of 77 questions & we still have a total of 70 unanswered questions we need to get around to answering.

There has been much prayer for an opportunity to be given for us to move to an hour program.  This was within our budget, it fits perfectly with those committed to being on the air to answer these questions, & we can get a lot more questions answered.  Well, I am happy to say that God answered our prayers, but not in the way we thought.  Our plan was 1 program for 60 minutes at a set costGod’s plan was 2 programs totaling 90 minutes for 20% less.  Pending paper work, we hope to start an additional “Listen To Your Bible” radio program on Saturday, August 2nd 8pm-9pm.  We will still be on the air every Friday @ 7pm, but the format will change slightly to cater towards a live teaching program.

Through the radio program, we have mailed out a total of 44 Bible Correspondence Courses, 11 have returned their BCC, 1 has completed all 8 courses, & we have had 3 baptisms (Not directly from the radio program, but indirectly).  I believe the more we focus on spiritual things, the more spiritually focused we become & it starts to show in every aspect of our lives.  Since the radio program, many members (prayerfully all) have increased their outreach.

God is good!  Do you know somebody who needs a Bible Correspondence Course mailed to their home?  Do you have somebody open to an in-home personal Bible study?  Do you work with individuals that have Bible questions?  If so, then the harvest is truly plentiful.  Hence, the real question is, “Will you be a laborer?” (Matthew 9:37-38).
